FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS

Is everything custom?

Yep, all of my work is custom! This means you can tailor your stationery to meet your exact vision — you can mix and match shapes, colors and styles! From the very simple to the very elaborate, everything is carried out precisely to your specifications.

When do I need to order?

The earlier, the better! All wedding orders must begin processing 5 months prior to the event date. This allows a comfortable window for design, proof approval, printing, and assembly (if required). We no longer process rush orders on wedding stationery.

All accompanying pieces (programs, place cards, etc.) must be requested upon placing the invitation order to book production schedule. If you're undecided on accompaniments, have them booked into your current order - if you decide you don't need them later, it's always easier to remove an order than to add one in.

PROGRAMS - All program information must be completed six weeks before the wedding. A complete, final draft in MS Word must be sent at that time. Rush fees will apply for documents sent after that deadline.Program quantity should be ordered 4 weeks before the wedding (upon receipt of the bulk of reply cards).

PLACE CARDS - A complete and final list, in MS Word or Excel must be sent no later than 10 days before the wedding (the same time the caterer is given the final head count). A set-up fee of 15.00 plus printing and stock charges will be assigned to names coming in after the deadline.

For all other invitation needs (showers, parties, etc.), please order 10-14 days before mailing date.

Can I get my envelopes ahead of time for addressing?

Of course! Once you have decided on your paper selection and ink colors, we can send the envelopes to press ahead of the rest of the stationery, if need be, so that you can start addressing them, or send them to a calligrapher. Please bear in mind your addressing time needs when ordering the envelopes, so that we allow ample printing time. Also, please note that an additional delivery charge will be assessed for sending the envelopes to press separate from the rest of the order.

Do you provide calligraphy or addressing services?

No, this is not a service I provide. However, I work with a fantastic calligrapher in town that I recommend exclusively and would be happy to furnish her information upon request.

How much does custom work cost?

Pricing is completely customized to each order, and can vary widely depending on paper selection, printing method, quantity, size, shape, number of pieces requested and embellishments. However, all custom wedding packages begin at $500.00.

Do you have minimums or ordering increments?

There is a minimum quantity of 25 required for any order. Orders can be placed in increments of 5 thereafter.

Do you provide custom samples?

I always offer a physical sample of the final invitation you have selected to proof before it goes to press.

I also offer custom digital samples of up to three different invitations during the design process.

If you would like to see samples of previous jobs before ordering, a limited number is available. Samples start at 10.00 plus the cost of shipping.

To see designs before booking any job, a 50.00 non-refundable deposit must be placed. If you proceed with the order, this fee will be credited to the final bill.

Where are you located?

I work from my home based studio in Overland, Missouri, just north of University City.

What are your hours?

My studio hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM - 5PM. However, I have very flexible meeting hours, and am happy to schedule a meeting at a time that is convenient for you! I can meet on weekends or evenings — just call or email me to set up an appointment!
